AUTHOR TS 100 v.2 is a professional digital multimeter for specialists in automotive electrics and electronics. TS 100 v.2 has all the necessary functionality to facilitate the search for and analysis of electrical circuits and CAN/LIN digital signals. This makes it an indispensable tool both for professionals who install security systems and for car owners who carry out repairs and re-equipment of their cars.
Product features:
- The compact, ergonomic and reliable plastic case fits comfortably in your hand. Multifunctional buttons allow you to easily and conveniently control the device with one hand.
- Bright monochrome OLED display. Information is perfectly readable under any lighting conditions or viewing angles. It does not require any additional illumination.
- Sound and light indication is produced when a positive potential is applied to the probe or when it is grounded. You can adjust the volume and trigger conditions.
- Removable probe. A quick-detachable probe securely attaches to the tester. You can easily remove the probe without any special tools.
- A built-in 350 mAh battery provides a long-lasting operation without the need for recharging. The battery charge indicator shows when the device needs to be recharged. You can charge the battery via a standard microUSB port from a power bank or laptop. And no more worrying about batteries failing at the most critical moment!
- Power consumption is 0 mA when the device is off. When staying idle, the device goes into the Power Saving mode. When off, the device goes into the Power Saving mode and its consumption is zero, so there is no need to worry about recharging it even if you have not used it for a long time.
- Flashlight feature with a lot of settings. Often, a specialist has to work in conditions where it is inconvenient to use a separate flashlight, and good lighting of the workspace is one of the most important factors affecting the quality and speed of work. The two LEDs built into TS 100 v.2 brightly and evenly illuminate the working area, allowing comfortable work even in the dimmest places of the car. You can turn on the flashlight by tapping on its case twice (with your index finger, for example). The flashlight's operating period is easily adjustable via AUTHOR Flasher.
- Left Hand feature. Almost every fifth person on our planet is left-handed. We have taken this into account, so the device can automatically change the display orientation, depending on which hand you hold the tester in. Both automatic and manual screen rotation is possible.
- The Memory feature allows the device to remember the active mode (for example, VOLTAGE/OSCIL) selected before turning off the tester, so you can immediately return to it when turning on TS 100 v.2. Convenient for those who always use the same tester mode in their work.
- The Settings menu is used to adjust the volume and conditions for turning on the sound and light signal of the tester and the display.
- Sleep mode. If the tester is not moving for one to three minutes (configurable), the device’s display turns off and the device goes into the Sleep mode, minimizing power consumption. But if you take the tester in your hand, the device will turn on the display and return to the selected operating mode. The current consumption in the Sleep mode is only 2 mA.
- Automatic shutdown. Even if you forget to turn off the device, it will automatically turn off as per a pre-set time period — from one to five hours (configurable via AUTHOR Flasher).
- Factory reset. You can reset the tester’s settings to default.
- Firmware update and configuration via microUSB. You can update the device's firmware and adjust its features via a microUSB port by using AUTHOR Flasher.
Note. AUTHOR Flasher requires Windows 7 or higher. In some cases, you may need to install the Visual C++ 2015 Runtime component to work with the tool on earlier versions of Windows. You can download the Visual C++ 2015 Runtime component for free from the official Microsoft website if it was not automatically installed alongside with system updates.
