AUTHOR AUTOSTART FD

A next-generation digital remote and automatic engine start module.

• Works with vehicles on CAN FD

• Is an evolution of the classic AUTHOR AUTOSTART (CAN)

• Integrates with:

  • AUTHOR IGLA FD

  • AUTHOR ALARM FD

  • AUTHOR TELE COMPASS 2 / 4G (from SW version 2.2.0 onward)

A solution for vehicles that use only CAN FD—without a classic CAN bus.

Key Changes in SW v2.4.0

New Features

Implemented support for pairings:

• IGLA FD + AUTOSTART FD

• ALARM FD + AUTOSTART FD

→ Now remote start can be fully integrated with AUTHOR digital protection on vehicles with CAN FD. The system does not simply start the engine remotely, but operates in a unified logic with anti-theft and security features: taking into account owner authorization, protection status, and blocking scenarios.

Added analog blocking from a third-party device
→ This feature allows AUTHOR IGLA FD / ALARM FD devices to block the engine when a potential appears on the wire. Thus, a third-party system can control AUTHOR digital blockings via the analog input.

Added button bounce/fault ignoring mechanism
→ This feature allows excluding from the system memory buttons that malfunction (for example, "chatter/bounce" when the ignition is turned on) and prevent setting or entering a PIN code.

Added alternative service button configuration
→ This feature allows assigning any button in the car available for PIN code entry as the service button.

Added Anti-carjacking safety distance setting
→ This feature allows setting the distance the vehicle can drive away during a carjacking before warnings begin and subsequent engine blocking occurs.

Improvements and Enhancements

Improved device operation when changing vehicle configuration
→ Previously, in some cases, it was impossible to select the required configuration if the descriptor contained a large number of configuration options (observed on a number of vehicles from Haval and VAG).

Improved service indication during keyfob authorization on a running engine
→ Previously, the indication might not display if authorization occurred while the engine was already running.
