Firmware Update v.2.5.1 Released: Advanced Settings and New Features for AUTHOR Security Systems

We have released the v.2.5.1 firmware update for AUTHOR security systems. The update is already available for the following devices:

  • AUTHOR ALARM FD

  • AUTHOR IGLA FD

  • AUTHOR AUTOSTART FD.

In this version, we took car owners' requests into account and added new features that make managing security even more comfortable, while keeping the system's operation stable and discreet.

Main Innovations for Car Owners:

  • Transport Mode Without False Alarms:

    • You can now arm the vehicle while temporarily disabling the accelerometer (shock, tilt, and motion sensors).

    • This is an ideal solution for transporting the car on a tow truck, a ferry, or parking it in multi-level automated parking facilities.

    • The mode is activated by simply pressing the Unlock and Lock buttons sequentially on the factory key fob, while monitoring of the doors, hood, and trunk is preserved.

  • Personalized Anti-Carjacking Settings:

    • We have expanded the options for exiting the forceful hijack protection mode.

    • You can now choose the authorization method that is most convenient for you: via PIN code, smartphone/key fob, or a combined option (any of the available methods).

  • Siren and Indication Control:

    • You can ask your installer to set the duration of the siren's alarm signal from 5 to 60 seconds, depending on your preferences.

    • We also added the ability to disable visual indication on the dashboard, leaving only discreet audio signals to confirm authorization.

  • Mobile App Optimization:

    • We significantly accelerated data exchange between the vehicle and your smartphone.

    • The cyclical sending of PUSH notifications during alarms has been eliminated, and a clear, double-light indication has been added when disabling the immobilization directly from your smartphone.

  • Enhanced Reliability:

    • We reworked the internal immobilization and anti-theft algorithms, improved the central lock's logic when starting to drive, and increased the system's overall stability in abnormal situations.
