We have updated the AUTHOR CONNECT 2.0 mobile app to version 2.4. The new version makes vehicle control easier, helps users find settings faster, and provides a more convenient way to track important events.
The update is now available and includes an improved home screen, an enhanced control panel, a Notification Log, new push notification settings, additional app access protection, and other useful improvements.
What’s New
Wireless Configuration of CAN-FD Devices
Compatible anti-theft devices with CAN-FD support can now be configured wirelessly through AUTHOR CONNECT 2.0. After placing the device into PIN code change mode, it can be paired with the app and configured without a wired connection.
Notification Log
A new section has been added where notifications and messages are stored, including push notifications, SMS messages, emails, and system notifications. Important information related to the vehicle and AUTHOR devices can now be easily found in one place.
More Convenient Home Screen
We have updated the app’s home screen so that key information can be accessed more quickly. The balance, mileage, and engine status widgets are now clearer and more convenient for everyday use.
Updated Control Panel
The remote start runtime display has been restored. Quick-access settings buttons have also been added below the control panel, allowing users to place frequently used functions on the home screen and access them faster.
Route Preview in Track History
Small vehicle movement maps have returned to the track list. Trip history is now easier to review, and routes can be understood without opening each track individually.
Profile Editing
Users can now update their profile information directly within the app.
Additional Access Protection
If the PIN code is entered incorrectly, the app blocks access. This helps protect the vehicle from unauthorized control, preventing third parties from using the app to configure, modify, or disable anti-theft functions.
Vehicle Body Color Selection
We have added more flexible vehicle body color settings, making it possible to match the vehicle displayed in the app more closely to the real one.
Push Notification Settings
Users can now choose which events will trigger push notifications. This helps reduce unnecessary alerts and ensures only important messages are received.
Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
We have also fixed a number of bugs and improved application stability.
