AUTHOR OBD BLOCK helps you protect cars against theft attempted via unauthorized access to the diagnostic port and hacking of the standard software (including reprogramming of standard keyfobs and disabling of the standard security system). AUTHOR OBD BLOCK consists of a dongle and a two-channel digital relay.
When the dongle is connected to the standard OBD II port, the system checks if the dongle matches the digital relay.
If they match, the diagnostic line is restored. When the dongle is removed, the diagnostic line is blocked again in 20 seconds.
You would need to connect the dongle to OBD II only for diagnostics. If there is not any dongle in the OBD II port, the diagnostic line is blocked.
