New «AUTOSTART» features – remote engine start for VAG

Winter has come, and in anticipation of the cold weather, we’d like to share some great news with both car owners and installers of additional equipment.
It is no secret that VAG's standard key coding algorithms are among the most complex ones. That is why, implementing the remote engine start function requires expensive equipment or a standard key in the car’s interior, which reduces protection against theft.
AUTHOR engineers have worked hard to enable the company's server to support VAG key calculation. It is now possible to install AUTOSTART in several cars without using an additional crawler, with the regular car key placed in it. This will not only significantly simplify the installation process and increase protection against theft but will also reduce costs for purchasing an insurance policy.
All you need to do is connect AUTOSTART to the CAN bus, perform the key reading procedure, and use the Author Flasher utility to get an electronic key that controls the standard protection.
The current list of supported VAG cars on which the remote engine start technology has already been implemented is as follows:
Volkswagen Polo VI 2020-2020;
Volkswagen Jetta VII 2019-2020;
Skoda Rapid II 2020-2020;
Skoda Octavia III (Rest.1) 2017-2020.
Cars that support the remote engine start using a key crawler (subject to the standard key in place):
Volkswagen Jetta VII 2019-2020;
Volkswagen Polo VI 2020-2020;
Skoda Rapid II 2020-2020;
Skoda Octavia III (Rest.1) 2017-2020;
Volkswagen Passat (Rest. 1) 2020-2020;
Volkswagen Tiguan II 2020-2020;
Volkswagen Touareg III 2018-2020;
Skoda Karoq I 2017-2020;
Skoda Kodiaq I 2016-2020;
Audi A4 V (Rest. 1) 2018-2020;
Audi A6 V 2018-2020.
Our engineers have prepared detailed description and installation diagrams for all these cars. You’ll find them on our service website.
