Firmware update 3.12.2 for AUTHOR devices has been released. This release focuses on two key objectives: expanding the product line and strengthening protection in unauthorized engine start scenarios.

What’s new:
1. Release of the new AUTHOR IGLA WB 1L device
AUTHOR IGLA WB 1L is a digital engine blocking device on the 2 CAN/1 LIN platform designed to prevent unauthorized vehicle start-up. The product is designed for installations that require reliable CAN blocking with simple, predictable operating logic and authorization without the use of wireless interfaces.
Main features of AUTHOR IGLA WB 1L:

digital blocking of the engine, transmission, diagnostics, and other systems via CAN and LIN buses;

authorization exclusively via PIN code;

communication with additional AUTHOR modules through patented wireless CAN dialog technology;

no radio module;

convenient device features—closing of windows and the sunroof, folding of mirrors, disabling of the standard Start-Stop feature1;

no Anti-Carjacking feature.
For the installation center, this means:

2. New Anti-Tamper feature
The Anti-Tamper feature was added at the request of installation centers and is aimed at strengthening protection in unauthorized start-up scenarios.
Anti-Tamper automatically activates the siren if authorization is not completed within a specified time after the ignition is turned on.
All parameters of this feature—mode, delays, and response duration—can be flexibly set in the latest versions of the AUTHOR FLASHER program (both desktop and mobile), allowing functionality to be tailored to the requirements of different markets and regulatory restrictions.
